Clarity beats cleverness
Within a few seconds, a visitor should know where they are, what you offer and what to do next. If a design idea makes that harder, we drop it, however good it looked in the presentation.
About us
Studio Techelix is a web design team of 25 designers, developers and search specialists. We'd rather ship a clear, quick website than a flashy one nobody can use.
Our story
Studio Techelix opened in Aachen in 2016. It was founded by three tech enthusiasts: a web designer, a software developer and a digital marketer. They set it up to close the gap between creative design and solid technical work. They wanted to help local businesses build an online presence that meant something, so the earliest projects were made-to-measure websites for local shops and custom web tools for young startups.
For years we worked under the Techelix name at techelix.co. Today the creative side of that work, meaning design, development and search, runs as its own division: Studio Techelix, at studio.techelix.co, still part of the Techelix family.
The team has grown to 25 people since then. One thing hasn't changed: we still believe a website works best when the people planning it, building it and helping it get found are part of the same conversation.

What we believe
Within a few seconds, a visitor should know where they are, what you offer and what to do next. If a design idea makes that harder, we drop it, however good it looked in the presentation.
A page that takes six seconds to load on a train has already failed, whatever it looks like. We set a performance budget at the start and design within it.
Contrast, focus states, headings and alt text go into the first wireframe. Bolting them on at the end costs more and rarely works as well.
Good search performance starts with pages that answer real questions in plain language. Keyword research tells us which questions to answer. It doesn't get to write the sentences.
Every project ends with notes your team can actually use: how the site is put together, where content lives and what to keep an eye on. You shouldn't need us to change a headline.
Day to day
Each project gets a core team, usually a designer, a developer and someone who owns search. The same people stay with you from kick-off to launch.
Every week you get a short call or a written note: what's finished, what's next and anything we need from you.
Designs, tasks and preview links live in one place you can open whenever you like, so you never have to chase anyone for a status.
We check work on actual phones and laptops, not only in design files, because that's where your visitors will meet it.
